Chapter History
In the summer of 2003 ten men decided to establish a fraternity on the campus of Michigan State University: Mitchell Carrol, Brandon Wilkes, Hao Luong, Nelson Franco, Brian Lee, Duc Ho, Benjamin Yu, Young Kim, Barna Lumpkin Jr, and Daniel Yoo.
During the search for the proper fraternity to expand at Michigan State University, these men happened upon Pi Alpha Phi: chosen because it focused on Academic Excellence, Asian Awareness, Brotherhood, Leadership, and Philanthropy.
Since there were very few Geek Organizations that promoted Asian awareness, these men concluded that Pi Alpha Phi would be a great addition to an already strong asian community on the campus of Michigan State.
Various chapters of Pi Alpha Phi expended time to teach these men humility, respect, and brotherhood - the customs of the fraternity. As a result, these men formed bonds that surpass friendship.
