A lab group at Michigan State University working on the management of pest, natural enemy, and pollin

We study the biology and management of insects in berry crops. Members of our lab are currently working on pest phenology, biological control, selective insecticide evaluations, and crop pollination all with insects found in berry crops. Our extension program provides growers with practical information to make decisions about insect management, to improve their productivity, profit, and environmental safety.

Our new study on the parasitoid wasps attacking SWD is published in this Special Edition. Led by Steve Van Timmeren, with former technicians Martín Brubaker and Jackie Perkins, we explore the ecology of these recent arrivals to Michigan fruit farms.
