Eric Swalwell’s former House seat is now headed to Aisha Wahab, handing AIPAC another major LOSS after it backed the AIPAC lady.

AIPAC’s super PAC and allied groups spent millions trying to stop Wahab, including about $5 million in negative advertising, but she still won. AIPAC spent $3 million boosting the AIPAC lady.

Wahab, who has called Israel’s war in Gaza a genocide and opposes U.S. military aid to Israel, also made history as the first Afghan American elected to Congress.

A coalition of 102 rights groups penned a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio demanding the release of Sama Safi, a US citizen who has been detained by Israel since June.

“Sama Safi, an American psychology student, was violently detained by armed Israeli soldiers in the West Bank 77 days ago and has been held in a military prison ever since. Sama Safi is 20 years old and has family in Tampa,” the Council on American-Islamic Relations said in a press release.

“An American citizen was illegally abducted and detained by a foreign military. She has been subjected to abject conditions in the prisons of a foreign country. Every American lawmaker and official should be up in arms over this blatant crime. We call on Secretary Rubio to secure Sama Safi’s immediate release from Israeli detention and hold the Israeli government to account,” the statement added

Maj. Jason Watson, a U.S. airman arrested after calling for President Trump’s removal over the Iran war, said that he was willing to accept punishment for his dissent.
