Eat At State | Michigan State University Michigan State University's award-winning Culinary Services. Culinary Services strives to nourish, inspire and enrich our
Spartan community.

As one of the largest self-operated university
foodservice systems in the nation, we pride ourselves in providing
culinary excellence. MSU Culinary Services oversees:

-Residential dining halls in each neighborhood, including the unique
allergen-free dining hall Thrive
-Sparty’s mini-market stores, which celebrated 30 years in 2021
-Sparty’s Market, an award-winning, urban market-style grocery
store at 1855 Place
-The Workshop at the STEM Teaching and Learning facility, a unique
location with historical integrity
-Two full-service Starbucks locations and a Proudly Serving Café
-Two food courts in the International Center and the MSU Union building
-Concessions at Spartan Stadium, Breslin Student Events Center,
Munn Ice Arena and the Agricultural Pavilion
-MSU Bakers, the on-campus bakery
-Spartan Linen Services, the on-campus laundry and uniform experts
-Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, the State Room Restaurant
and Kellogg Catering
-Sustainable food practices
-Contract management and procurement services at our on-campus Food Stores facility

Next week we will celebrate Filipino American heritage month with special menus at Sabor at the International Center as well as The Vista at Shaw Hall.

Sabor at the International Center
We will offer a special menu at Sabor, featuring Filipino Pork Adobo - a quintessential, comforting Filipino stew made of tender pork chunks braised low and slow in a savory, tangy and deeply aromatic glaze. Widely recognized as the unofficial national dish of the Philippines, it is a beloved staple found in virtually every home across the archipelago.

Join us at The Vista at Shaw for a special lunch featuring beloved dishes, traditional ingredients and authentic flavors. Last night, Brody Square’s Alice Creyts Room transformed into a culinary showcase for the Student Organic Farm-to-Fork Feast: Chef’s Table Edition.

Hosted by Executive Chef Dustin Ignash and Sous Chef Joe Balander, this exclusive experiential dining event brought students together for an unforgettable, local culinary journey.

Students enjoyed a five-course meal celebrating sustainable agriculture at Michigan State University.
Every dish was carefully constructed around fresh, vibrant ingredients grown right down the road at MSU’s Student Organic Farm. 🥕 🥦 🥬

Get ready to celebrate 100 Years of Winnie the Pooh with us next Wednesday! We’re serving up a very special, honey-inspired menu that even the resident of the Hundred Acre Wood couldn’t resist. 🧸✨

Best of all? The entire menu is thoughtfully prepared in our Certified Free From kitchen, making it completely free from gluten and the top 9 allergens (egg, fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, and wheat).
