Enjoy the latest episode of the MSU Extension Grazing Chat with Dr. João Sacramento is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Science at Michigan State University and a member of the Landscape Intelligence Network.
Dr. Sacramento's is leading research on adaptive grazing management and its impacts on greenhouse gas emissions, soil health, and ecosystem services across U.S. ecoregions and the use of emerging technologies such as remote sensing, drones, and precision livestock tools to improve the sustainability and profitability of beef and dairy production systems.
At Michigan State University, Dr. Sacramento works closely with producers, students, and industry partners to develop practical, science-based solutions that help strengthen the resilience and long-term sustainability of grazing livestock operations.
