This week, medical students from MSUCOM's International Osteopathic Medicine Organization (IOMO) organized a bake sale on the East Lansing and Detroit Medical Center campuses. Sales of the homemade baked goods will go toward providing supplies for patient treatment and care during an upcoming education abroad trip to Costa Rica this summer.

The Global Health Institute is excited to announce that our Assistant Director of Operations for Global Health Studies, Stephanie Six, has been awarded the 2026 Ruth Jameyson Above and Beyond Award!
This award, presented by MSU Human Resources, recognizes a staff member who goes “above and beyond” in their job at MSU by pursuing a graduate degree alongside their employment. Stephanie pursued and recently earned a Doctorate in Educational Technology from Central Michigan University, maintaining a 4.0 GPA while helping lead our Global Health Studies program efforts. Congratulations, Stephanie!

As preparation for their upcoming education abroad programs, Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine medical students and student members of the MSUCOM International Osteopathic Medicine Organization created handmade bracelets to give to their future patients.
