Second-year Ph.D. student, Barikisu Issaka, is dedicated to improving women’s health through her research. Issaka strives to better understand and identify postpartum depression by tracking social media activity, with an end goal of developing symptom detection to ensure women's needs are getting met. Her research caught the attention of The American Association of University Women and was awarded a fellowship for her extensive research. Click the link below to read the article.
