Joseph Melillo Middle School - Welcome Back 2024-2025 Important Information 8/13/2024 Dear Joseph Melillo Middle School Families, Welcome back to another exciting school year at JMMS! I hope this letter finds you and your family well-rested and ready for the new academic year. We are thrilled to welcome both our returning students and those joining us for the first time.

Congratulations to our JMMS 8th Graders on your Promotion this afternoon. You will always have a home at JMMS and a place in our hearts. We wish you the best of luck moving forward and have all the confidence that you will do amazing things in this world!

JMMS welcomed our EHHS seniors for their Senior Walk yesterday. It was an amazing event. It was wonderful to see the connections that so many of our seniors still have with their middle school teachers.

Student Council sponsored a dunk tank at field day and we had so much fun! Thank you to our Student Council President Sammy Horton for braving the dunk tank with all of the teachers and Mrs. Doyon who participated and thank you to all of the students that made this such a fun success! ☀️

Another successful Field Day in the books! Thank you to EHPD for helping out, to our East Haven High School volunteers, and to all of the staff and students at JMMS for a great day. Special thanks to our maintenance and custodial staff for all of their hard work to make today a success! More photos and videos to come!

Congratulations to our 7th and 8th Grade Band and Chorus students who competed at the Adjudication Festival yesterday. Both Band and Chorus took home the gold! Great job. After competing, students had an opportunity to go to Six Flags and enjoy the day.

The NJHS is holding their final fundraiser of the year! Bring in any new school supplies or lightly used backpacks or lunch boxes to donate to a great cause!
