🗿 A journey through Sardinia’s ancient past.

In Laconi, we visited a remarkable museum home to the largest collection of prehistoric menhir statues in Sardinia, dating back to the 3rd millennium BC. Seeing—and even touching—these incredible monuments felt like stepping back thousands of years in time.

Afterward, we relaxed beneath the shade of centuries-old trees in Parco Aymerich, where we enjoyed lunch, practiced Italian vocabulary for body parts, and admired the park’s beautiful waterfalls, lush nature, and ancient castle ruins.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our family member, who shared fascinating stories and guided us throughout the day, making the experience even more meaningful. ❤️

We ended the day with a true Sardinian tradition: slow-roasted suckling pig, cooked for hours using time-honored techniques.

🇮🇹 Every stop brings us closer to Italy’s language, history, and traditions.

🏛️ Stepping back 3,000 years in time.

Our visit to Su Nuraxi di Barumini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, gave us a glimpse into Sardinia’s ancient Nuragic civilization and one of the island’s most remarkable archaeological treasures. 🇮🇹✨

🎨 Every mural tells a story.

In San Gavino Monreale, Jeff guided us through a unique community art project where local residents invited an artist to transform the walls of their homes into murals that preserve their stories and traditions.

We were warmly welcomed with traditional Sardinian treats and heartfelt hospitality. A special thank you to Luciana, our family friend, for making this unforgettable experience possible. ❤️

Before sunset, we took a walk around Sant’Antioco, a beautiful island and historic town off the southwestern coast of Sardinia. 🌅

Connected to the Sardinian mainland by a bridge and a 3-kilometer causeway, Sant’Antioco is the fourth-largest island in Italy and is rich in history, culture, and breathtaking coastal views.

Every step gave us a deeper appreciation for the beauty and heritage of this remarkable island.

The day began with a special birthday celebration Happy Birthday to our Michelle! 🎉

Next, we headed to a new beach in Portoscuso, soaking up the beauty of Sardinia’s coastline. 🌊

In the evening, we explored the charming town of Sant’Antioco, followed by dinner just after sunset overlooking the sea.

Another unforgettable day discovering the beauty, culture, and flavors of Sardinia together. 🇮🇹✨
