Ross School

Ross School Ross School is a co-educational institution serving more than 300 students from nursery to grade 12 Ross School was founded in 1991 by Courtney and Steven J.

Ross. They recognized that preparing students to meet the challenges of of an increasingly connected and rapidly changing world requires innovative models to transform education, and set to work to meet those challenges. Drawing on pedagogical research from leading education experts, the resulting model incorporates a global perspective; integrated, hands-on learning; and active problem solving. Within five years of its founding, Ross School expanded from its initial cohort of just three students to become a middle school serving dozens of girls in grades 5–8. The school expanded, grade by grade, adding boys to the student body in 1997, thereby creating a coeducational high school, and Ross School's first graduating class earned their diplomas in 2001. In 2006, Ross Lower School opened on the Bridgehampton campus; the Upper School further expanded by welcoming boarding students in 2008. Currently, Ross School serves about 420 students in pre-nursery through grade 12, as well as domestic and international boarding students from more than 20 countries.

Ross students are already discovering, creating, and learning!

Across both campuses, students are settling into the new school year with curiosity and enthusiasm! Lower School students are investigating nature, painting, reading, and asking questions about the world around them, while Upper School students are creating art, diving into coding and STEAM projects, performing theatrical scenes, and exploring new topics.

We’re excited to see all that our students will experience and achieve this year!

Ross Athletics: September 8–11, 2026

It’s a big week for Ross Athletics! Our new Boys Varsity Golf team plays its first two matches today and tomorrow, Boys & Girls Cross Country has its first meet today, and our newly formed Girls JV Volleyball team takes the court for its first match on Friday here at Ross.

Together with Girls Varsity Volleyball, Girls JV and Varsity Tennis, Girls Varsity Field Hockey, and Girls JV Soccer also in action throughout the week, there are plenty of opportunities to cheer on your Ross Ravens. Check out the full schedule and come support our teams!

Today, Ross School welcomes our new boarding students to campus!

Our boarding program is an important part of Ross’s global community, representing students from around the world and across the US. Together, our boarding and day school students represent 25 different countries, bringing together an incredible mix of perspectives, experiences, and traditions. Ross is In the News! Ross is In the News! We’re proud to see Ross student-athlete Vivienne Anton '31 featured in New York Tennis Magazine, highlighting her dedication, development, and journey at the Ross School Tennis Center, where she's been training for the past six years.

Throughout her six years of training with RSTC, Vivienne has continued to advance, competing on the Ross Girls JV Tennis team as a seventh grader last fall and making her mark in tournament play. This summer, she captured the Girls 12s title at the L5 Providence Summer Splash and competed in the Girls 16s division at an L5 tournament in Amagansett. She continues that momentum this fall as a member of the Ross Girls Tennis team, with new opportunities to grow and compete.
