Our annual Mother's Day Tea culminates the curriculum of Practical Life including grace and courtesy. It is a special day that children partake in the prep including practicing pouring tea and filling tea bags, preparing songs, writing scrolls and making gifts for their mom. 🌿 For 14 years, Montessori of Greenwich Bay has nurtured young learners with care and trust. Now, we’re excited to welcome you and your toddler to our brand new Toddler House!

Our two new classrooms are designed to help toddlers build independence, confidence and community, while learning essential life skills in a safe, caring environment.

Now accepting enrollments for toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years.

Today, on what would be Maria Montessori's 154th birthday, we are grateful for her method of working with young children. We are excited to begin our new school year at the Children's House (3285 South County Trail EG) and the Toddler House (5784 Post Road EG), opening this fall. Twice a year we ask each child to independently create a self portrait while looking in the mirror. It is amazing the development from what seems like a scribble, to the self-centered (head in center with limbs coming out) to the growth of detail. This is a set of six self portraits from a child who went through the 3 years cycle of Primary.

Photos from our annual gingerbread workshop for the children! Here’s a thank you note from a mom “It was the first time we have dropped both of our children off somewhere without a family member being there. It was such a great teaching moment for them to be there for each other, and for our daughter (Montessori child) to be a leader for her older brother without a parent around. We are so glad to be part of this community that teaches such strength and life skills that really shape our children into better people. Grateful for all of you!

We held our annual United Nations Day cultural luncheon to celebrate unity, peace and similarities and differences. Children dressed in traditional clothing, or wore colors of the flag they made, and families brought in a cultural food dish to share.

We hope everyone had a beautiful Mothers Day! Our tea culminated our year of Practical Life and grace and courtesy.
