Congratulations, Mia!

The third-annual HighSchoolOT girls wrestling all-state team features 28 wrestlers making a second or third appearance on the team, including 13 repeat first-team selections.

HighSchoolOT's 2025-26 All-State teams are presented by Talk It Out NC and First Carolina Bank.

There is the first year of a new format, with a pound-for-pound first, second, and third team each with 20 wrestlers followed by an Honorable Mention list of 40 wrestlers.

In the past, wrestlers were organized by weight class.

Class of 2030 Eagles should join us on Friday, July 31st at 9:00am for Freshman Orientation. At Orientation, students will meet Freshman Academy teachers, learn about high school from counselors, hear from a student panel, and explore involvement options.
Directly following Orientation, 9th graders will attend the Pop In & Pick Up where they will pick up their schedule and practice walking it, check out chromebooks, fill out important paperwork, get bus information, and MORE!

Julia is trading in her Eagle green for Volunteer orange! She’s set to pursue at the University of Tennessee, in August. There, she will continue her studies of animal science with hopes of moving into the field of agricultural research. She has certainly had a great start as a highly active member of East’s FFA over the last four years, and she’s looking forward to joining another strong program at Tennessee. Julia is always really excited about being a part of a school with a great football team and strong student life. She’s definitely also excited about getting out of Hendersonville and meeting new people. For all of their support, Julia would like to thank Mr. Rollins and Mrs. Hill. We wish you all the best in Tennessee, Julia!

Graduation may be over, but we’re still celebrating our !

This is well on her way to at UNCW this fall. Cora has given herself a fantastic start by earning her associate’s degree while still in high school, so she will walk into college with lots of credits! At UNCW, she will study marine biology, and she plans to use her degree to focus on research and specifically microorganisms. It’s the right school for her because they have a strong marine biology program, it’s at the beach, and she has family members that have attended there and had a good experience. Cora is hoping to meet some new people, grow in her career, and grow up while away at school. She would like to thank Mrs. Hill and Ms. Stucke for their help with obtaining her associate’s degree, as well as Mrs. Allman and Mrs. Wodzicki for all their guidance along the way. We are incredibly proud of you, Cora! Go do big things!

Any student who failed a class due to attendance has the option to recover that credit in Summer Recovery. Any student interested in doing so must email Mrs. Lord this week to reserve their spot.

Summer Recovery is June 1-4 and June 8-11 from 8:00am-12:00pm daily. Recovery is granted on an hour for hour basis, and students who are done with their recovery before noon on a given day may leave when they are finished.
