Growing Little Minds Growing Little Minds is a home-based preschool following NYS Common Core Learning Standards for Pre-Kindgarten and is Creative Curriculum based.

Philosophy:
Growing Little Minds will provide a warm, caring, comfortable and safe environment for our children. Together, we will establish routines that are predictable and consistent. All children will be treated with gentleness, honesty and respect. The teacher will provide a consistent schedule with a balance between teacher-directed and child-centered activities. By providing a setting that

fosters self-esteem, builds confidence and is based on respect, it is our goal that the children will be empowered to take risks in their learning. Through guided discovery and hands-on learning, children will be involved in a fully integrated curriculum. Academics:
Activities will be based on monthly academic units of study (i.e. Ocean Life) In addition to the preschool program, social skills themes such as (i.e. friendship) as well as literature theme days. The children will be introduced to multidisciplinary experiences including: children's literature, dramatic play, puppet shows, listening center, arts & crafts, science discovery & nature, cooking, sensory activities, social skills development, music & singing, fine & large motor activities, and early math skills.

We haven’t posted in months to show you all of our hard work but we are busy busy bees every single day here in school! On this day last week we were astronauts dissolving moon rocks! So much learning going on here from cause and effect, hand-eye coordination, fine motor development, gross motor development and working on our receptive and expressive language.
