National Night Out! Sounds like a great family activity.

Join your local officers for a family fun community event! Bubbles, K9 demonstrations, drone demonstrations, try on some SWAT gear, choose which Derry Fire Battalion makes the best sandwich, and so much more!!

MEET THE TEACHERS! Time to meet our director, Mrs. Murray!

Hi Friends! My name is Mrs. Murray, and I am so excited to begin my 8th year at Nutfield. I have a Bachelors degree in Neuroscience and a Masters degree in Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education. Prior to becoming the director at Nutfield, I directed a school for preschoolers and elementary students with severe special needs.

I am the mama of FOUR teenagers and am about to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary! Our family lives in Londonderry with our dog, Lancer, and our bearded dragon, Blu. I like to travel, to go to the beach, and to attend all of my children’s activities and games.

I am the luckiest director on the planet who is blessed with the best staff ever. I love the bridge that Nutfield builds between home and school. It is a privilege to be a part of your lives during this precious season of family life. Once you are a part of the Nutfield community, you are ALWAYS a part of our big Nutfield Family!

We know how hard is at drop off when your child cries. Most of us teachers have been there with our own children. We have found a quick drop off is usually the best, and we will almost always will let you know within a few minutes that they're doing just fine and are playing with their friends.

MEET THE TEACHERS!

I am Mrs. Phelps and I am a PreK assistant teacher. I started at Nutfield in 2019. I love seeing the joy and excitement of the students faces when they are learning something new. Being around PreK children is invigorating!

I live in East Derry with my husband. We have 3 children and a dog. We love traveling, beach days, skiing and going to sporting events.

Next up in our MEET THE TEACHERS series is Mrs. Zenga!

Hi, my name is Mrs. Zenga and I'm about to start my sixth year teaching at Nutfield. You can find me primarily as an assistant in the pre-school class, but I also get to be in the pre-K class on Mondays. The best of both worlds! I have a degree in occupational therapy and worked in pediatrics for many years before transitioning into teaching at Nutfield. All three of my children (who are teenagers now) went to Nutfield and I always told the staff that if there was ever an opening to think of me. I'm so glad they reached out when something became available!

I love the Nutfield community and the play based learning. I love watching the kids learn and grow and play and explore in such a warm, nurturing environment. I always tell the kids I'm like Olaf and I like warm hugs. 🤗 I'm looking forward to being back in the classroom with the kiddos in September!

MEET THE TEACHERS! Next up we have Mrs. Soucy!

Hi! I’m Mrs. Soucy and I teach Pre-K at Nutfield. This will be my forth year working at Nutfield and I’m so excited for the new school year to start! I love watching the children in my class gain confidence and grow during their time with us. We learn a lot and have tons of fun in the process!

I have 3 daughters who are Nutfield alumni and currently attend Barka Elementary. We are all animal lovers and have a dog named Ollie, a cat named Trixie and a kitten named Bear. We also have fish, ducks and chickens. This summer we have enjoyed camping, swimming and playing all kinds of board games!

A few times throughout the summer, we host playground meetups at Nutfield. It's a great opportunity for the children and their families to meet each other, the teachers, and to get familiar with our school. Plus, our teachers get very excited to see the kiddos!

MEET THE TEACHERS!

I am Mrs. DeLong and I am a Preschool teacher at Nutfield. I have 3 children, 2 cats and a dog. The beach is my favorite place and where I try to spend most of my summer.

I have worked at Nutfield for 16 years and was a parent here prior to that. My kids attended Nutfield and I immediately fell in love with the community found here.

I passionately believe in play based learning with active engagement and sensory exploration. In our classroom, I will encourage independence and help students develop kindness and a love for learning.
