The backpacks are packed. The first-day fits are ready. Alarms are set. And somewhere, somebody is STILL looking for a missing school supply.

But in just a few hours, our buses will be rolling, our doors will be open and our hallways will be filled with Cardinals ready for a brand-new year.

So get some rest. We fly tomorrow!

TONIGHT!

The conversation about our students’ future starts with all of us.

Join East Cleveland City Schools for the Inaugural State of the East Cleveland Student tonight at 6:00 PM in the Shaw High School Auditeria.

Together, families, students, staff and community partners will examine three critical mysteries shaping the future of our scholars: Attraction. Achievement. Persistence.

This is an opportunity to have real conversations, share perspectives and help shape how we ensure every East Cleveland student enters our schools with a sense of belonging, receives the support needed to achieve and remains on track toward graduation and life beyond our classrooms.

Dinner will be served, student performances will be featured and a Community Resource Village will be available throughout the evening.

Families are invited to attend one of two sessions to meet our school leaders, receive important back-to-school information and get prepared for a successful 2026-2027 school year.
