Mr. Leuenberger's 3rd Annual Field Day during 6th Hour today brought friendly competition filled with energy, laughter, and school spirit. It was great to see students working together, cheering each other on, and making memories that will last long after the school year ends. 🎉🌞

Events were:
Event 1 - Relay Remix (Speedwalk, Skip, Side shuffle, sprint)
Event 2 - Chariot Race
Event 3 - Tug of War

CONGRATULATIONS to GABRIELLA BENOIT (11th Grade) who received the INNOVATOR OF THE MONTH AWARD for the month of MAY!! 👏👏👏🎉🎉

Teachers nominated students whom they believed exhibited characteristics of an "Innovator" which include, but are not limited to:

*Reflective approach to learning
*Driven to succeed and ability to push through situations with GRIT
*Takes advantage of opportunities presented
*Humble approach
*Ability to extract learning from different situations
*Have solid attendance
*Exhibit qualities of leadership in the classroom

With the nomination, Teachers also included the reason/rationale for each of their selections. One winner was then selected and received a certificate, an IC water bottle, a portable phone charging block, candy, and recognition both in the building and on the school's social media site.

Students in E. Leuenberger's class reviewing for the AP World Test by playing Heads Up. This interactive game will help in practicing key vocabulary, historical figures, and significant locations that frequently appear on the AP World History exam.

FUN FACTS: The game format promotes active recall and memorization, making the learning process engaging and effective.

High School Students develop leadership skills by mentoring younger students and reinforcing their own knowledge by explaining complex concepts simply.
