Celebrating Week of the Young Child at Sweet Peas.

Here is a glimpse of how it went here at sweet Peas. 🫛

Today marks the 8th year of our journey into the wonderful world of childhood education and care. Long enough to see some of our students grow up and start school. Long enough to do some growing of our own. We're so thankful to be involved in our students' lives and we continue to cheer them on near or far. Though the times may change we hope that we can all continue to work together to provide our students with the very best that we have. Our only wish is for all of us to stay safe, stay happy, and stay healthy. More important than that, we hope that we can all stay united. As friends, as family. From today, until our last day. Thank you all so much for your support. Happy Birthday Sweet Peas.

Mae Jemison is an engineer and former NASA astronaut. She became the first African American woman to travel into space on the Endeavour shuttle in 1992.

In honor of Black History Month, this week our Little Peas celebrated Mae Jemison and honor her with creating their own Endeavour shuttle and learned to work hard in reaching for the stars just like Mae did. ⭐️ 🚀

For anyone living in the East Chicago area

We want to extend our gratitude to the East Chicago Fire Department for stopping by for a visit! Our kids were very excited to go to our local firehouse and get to see the fire trucks up close and our local firefighters. They even came by afterwards and left us some surprise gifts that everyone loved. We want to thank our local firefighters for all the work they do to keep us safe and a very big thank you to Carmen for helping us set up the visit!
