High winds. Bitter cold (-42F wind chill). Mountain closed. ❄️💨

And yet—this incredible group of women ski patrollers showed exactly what resilience looks like. Plans changed. Purpose didn’t.

When conditions shut down our planned toboggan clinic, this group of women ski patrollers adapted without missing a beat and turned challenge into opportunity. We dressed warm and shifted our focus to train with Jay Peak Ski Patrol on low-angle extrication skills. We closed the day with a thoughtful, honest panel discussion on being a woman on patrol, how the role has evolved over the decades, and the strength it takes to keep showing up.

A reminder that some of the most meaningful learning happens when things don’t go as planned. 🤍

And that's a wrap! Our 3rd and last event of the season. Empowered women empowering women - it is inspiring to have a group of women of all ages and abilities coming together, sharing their stories, and learning from one another. From different home mountains, years of experience and ability level, but all united by the same goals: growth, strength, and support. See you next season! 10-February-2025. Our second NSPNVT Women's Event of 2025 @ Burke Mountain - Mountain Travel / Search and Rescue (SAR). This group of active ladies skinned up Deer Run while looking for waypoints (search and rescue) with a rendez-vous at the Summit. A cozy snow cave was our basecamp to load more waypoints and coordinates while sipping hot cocoa (special shout out to Cody and Burke crew on the amazing snow fort!) In the afternoon we talked about what a rescuer needs to consider packing for SAR, and we did a hands-on exercise with a rescue SKED. Raise your glass to this group of amazing ladies who stepped beyond their comfort zones, embraced new challenges to sharpen their skills and expand their knowledge! Our third and last event is coming up at Mad River Glen on Monday March 10th (sold-out).

26-January-2025. And it's a wrap! Our first NSPNVT Women's Event of 2025 @ Smuggler's Notch, with an emphasis on Skiing improvement and Toboggan handling. Shoutout to the great women who came together to sharpen their skills, lift each other up, and prove that growth happens when we support one another. Special thanks to our amazing instructors who shared their knowledge and wisdom. Come and join us for our next event at Burke Mountain!
