MCVTSTheatre The Theatre Program at EBMS provides a practical and theoretical foundation for young artists. Half-day high school program set in a full high school setting.

Students work half day towards a Performing Arts high school certificate and graduate from high school ready to enter BFA programs nationally and internationally. School has honors track. By audition only.

A modern adaptation of Moliere’s Tartuffe most prescient work for our time.

Hypocrisy
Reason 
& Power

A pious fraud worms his way into a wealthy household, cloaked in devotion and virtue. As the family patriarch falls blindly under his spell, reason and loyalty begin to fracture around him. Beneath polished manners and holy words lies manipulation, greed, and desire. When truth finally surfaces, the cost of misplaced trust threatens to unravel everything.

A modern adaptation of the epic poem Beowulf.

This farcical version of the Old English epic features a rapper chorus and a family of wisecracking servants. The boastful hero Beowulf saves pompous Hrothgar from the monster Grendel and battles Grendel’s mother (slow-mo style) in her underwater lair. Returning home, the hero tempts fate one last time by facing a dragon whose breath is worse than his bite.

Set before the Trojan War, "Iphigenia” revolves around the strong resistance by Clytemnestra to the decision of her husband, Agamemnon, the leader of the Greek coalition before and during the Trojan War, to ritually sacrifice his daughter, to appease the goddess Artemis.
