We kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month at Piles of Smiles! 🇨🇴🇩🇴🇵🇷🇲🇽🇬🇹🇭🇳🇪🇨🇻🇪🇵🇪🇵🇦🇦🇷🇨🇷🇺🇾

Today, our little friends read and learned all about La Historia Latina and celebrated the rich cultures and traditions that make Latin America so special! We even read a book by a wonderful Latino author Edison Jaquez Mental Health Therapist giving our little friends the opportunity to see and celebrate Latino voices and stories. 📖✨

🎶 We made music with instruments from different Latin American cultures, including la güira, la tambora, las maracas, la pandereta, las congas, and las castañuelas! 🥁🎺

And, of course, we had a special snack: A Taste of Latin America! 😋🌎

🍍 Papaya
🇵🇷 Quesitos from Puerto Rico
🇨🇴 Buñuelos and pandebono from Colombia
🇩🇴 Chinola juice from the Dominican Republic

Piles of Smiles would like to welcome our newest little friend! This happy little boy had such a great first day exploring his new classroom and making new friends. He fit right in and settled in so well! It was so sweet watching him get comfortable, explore, and enjoy his day with his new friends. He even thought his teacher was pretty funny! 😄

We loved spending our summer learning, playing, laughing, and making so many special memories with you! 🧸🎨☀️ You brought so much joy and love to our days, and we are going to miss you SO much! 🥰

Next week, Ms. Sandra heads back to work for another school year. We wish you an amazing year filled with happy little learners and lots of smiles! 📚🍎✨

Today was a bittersweet day at Piles of Smiles.🥹 We said “see you later” to our little friend that will be starting full time Pre-K in his district.

We are so proud of you and all the growing, learning, and memories you’ve made with us. We’re going to miss your smiles, laughter, and sweet little personality SO much! We’ll especially miss your constant “yove yous” throughout the day!

The good news is, you’ll always have a place here at Piles of Smiles! We’re so happy to keep you on our Drop-In list and can’t wait to see you whenever you come back for a visit!

We hope you have the happiest adventures in Pre-K, sweet friend! We love you and will miss you more than you know! ❤️
