Last reminder for Conservatory auditions: July 31.

If your child has been asking for harder material and honest notes on what they did with it, this is the year to look at.

The Conservatory is audition-only, ages 7-18, taught by working industry professionals. The year is built around Academy classes, private lessons, and six masterclasses, including sessions with guest artists.

The audition is just the first conversation. You'll have everything you need to decide from there.

Conservatory auditions close July 31.

It's our audition-only track for ages 7-18. A Conservatory student gets full Academy enrollment, twenty private lessons, six masterclasses, and our guidance on headshots and filmed work when they're ready for that step.

The whole year is built so a young actor can be seen clearly and challenged specifically. The notes get that specific too: here's exactly what you did in that scene, and here's what to try next.

Yesterday, our students rocked their auditions! Today they will find out what roles they have been cast in and we will bring Weird Beings Anonymous to life!

The Conservatory audition is a conversation, not a verdict.

We want to see how a student works. What they're curious about. How they take a note. And honestly, whether this kind of year would actually serve them, because it isn't the right year for every kid, and that's fine.

If your child is between 7 and 18 and ready for a more focused acting year, auditions close July 31.

Some kids are still figuring out whether acting is their thing. That's great. That's what our classes are for.

And then there's the kid who already knows. The one who's asking for notes before you've finished giving them, who wants more time with the material than the class can hold.

The Conservatory is for that kid. It's our audition-only track for ages 7-18, taught by working industry professionals: full Academy enrollment, private lessons, and six masterclasses, including sessions with guest artists.

Once a year, we open the Conservatory.

It's our audition-only track, ages 7 to 18 — a full year of Academy classes, twenty private lessons, six masterclasses, and a year built around one actor at a time. The deepest thing we teach.

If your kid keeps asking for more, come to our Info Night on Thursday, July 16 (7:00 PM) and see the whole year laid out plainly. No pressure in the room, every question welcome.

Auditions close July 31. And the audition itself is a warm room: a short piece, a note, a second try. We're looking for courage and listening, not polish.

DM us or comment CONSERVATORY and we'll get you the details.

When a kid at camp says "I can't," we don't argue with them.

We don't pep-talk them either. We hand them something to do.

A verb to play. A job in the scene. A partner to aim it at. "Make her laugh." "Guard the door." "Talk him out of it." The doing comes first, and the feeling shows up somewhere in the middle of it, usually without the kid noticing.

Ask them about it at dinner. You'll get a shrug, then a full re-enactment.

That's why "Everyone Can Act" isn't a slogan around here. It's the method. It works on the kid who auditions for everything and the kid who's never raised a hand, because neither one has to feel ready first. They just have to play the verb.

Three weeks of that, ages 7 to 18, all of it pointed at one night on a real stage.

Starts Monday, July 13. Mon to Fri, 9 to 3. $1,950 for all three weeks, and siblings get 25% off the second actor.

The last thing your kid does at camp is walk onto a real stage.

Not the classroom floor. A real theater. Lights up, seats full, their name in the program.

Three weeks earlier, half of them wouldn't say a line above a whisper.

We watch it turn every summer. The scene they groaned about on day two becomes the one they beg to run again. The kid who wanted to hide in the back row ends up asking if they can go first.

Then closing night comes, and you're out in the audience, and there's your kid — landing the line, waiting for the laugh they already know is coming.

The applause is real because the work was. We just hand them the stage and get out of the way.

Your kid is going to lose a lot of sword fights this summer.

We keep a running tally. It goes up fast.

Here's the thing nobody warns you about stage combat: the falling is the fun part. The big theatrical death, the last gasp, the slow crumple to the floor while the whole room loses it. Your camper will get very, very good at losing dramatically, and then they'll do it at your kitchen table for three straight weeks and you will not be able to stop them.

All the swords are foam. Every death is pretend. The confidence they walk out with is the only real thing.

Three weeks. Ages 7-18. One flat price: $1,950. Starts Monday, July 13.
1210 Cozzens Lane, North Brunswick (GPS drops you in the BACK lot — we're the building across from the gazebo and flagpole). It all ends on a real stage at Playhouse 22.

Pre-care and post-care if your mornings are chaos. 25% off for siblings.
