Bursting with Joy at the Homestead
Steve Dykstra and I (Emily Dykstra) are the founders and owners of Bursting Blooms Landscaping Design and Construction in East Brainerd Tennessee for the past 18 years. My dream is to create a homestead where Steve and I can provide Christian experiential education for our surrounding community in the context of gardening, landscape design, and environmental education. This ministry operates out of our home located in East Brainerd. The first phase of construction and development on the property is nearly complete and the gardens are planted.
The homestead ministry is aimed to serve our local community with fresh produce donated to various organizations dealing with the feeding of those in poverty. Next year we will host a wide variety of programs to educate and empower youth and families of greater Chattanooga. We feel blessed to share God’s love through gardening.
