Good morning,

Today we would like to feature Sarah Garcia and Kimbal Swiger for our Band Senior Spotlight. Both have been outstanding members and have really taken upon themselves to cultivate and promote our band and their sections.

Kimball and Cleo Boettcher taught the UIL choreography to our CG members, and were instrumental in our debut season in the Texas Color Guard Circuit competitions as part of our EBHS Winter Guard.

Sarah's compassion and determination has reflected in our flute section. In my short years here our flute section has flourished into a strong sisterhood that will continue to grow thanks to her leadership.

We are so thankful for their time, dedication, and artistry!

We celebrate our hard working Drum Majors for being dedicated members and for leading our band for a combined 5 years as Drum Majors. Congratulations and thank you, Karis and Camden. We love y’all and wish y’all the best in your future endeavors!

We would like to give a huge Congratulations to the East Bernard Color Guard as they competed in their very first Winter Guard Competition this weekend. The team won 1st place in the Novice catergory. I could not be more proud of all my wonderful girls! I would like to thank Robert Palermo and school admin for allowing the girls an amazing experience!

Good morning!

Our band students will be recognized by Chevy and KHOU in a community Pep Rally on Tuesday January 19th at 6:30pm in Memorial Stadium. We invite all of our Brahma family to be there and congratulate our students on their achievements.

Please help me CONGRATULATE THE 2020 AREA E MARCHING CHAMPIONS!!! EAST BERNARD EARNED FIRST PLACE AT AREA CONTEST!!!

Beyond happy for our Mighty Brahma Band!!! Every student performed with energy, passion, and commitment!

After a Solid performance at Area E contest our show entitled “Dragon Slayer” the Mighty Brahma Band closed off the season at the highest level. The Dragon Has Been Slayed.

Our band students continue to set the bar higher and higher. They truly represent The Best of The Best! All of the hard work, patience, and uphill battle against the pandemic showed their integrity and relentless hunger to do better every rehearsal. Our students stepped off the field in Calallen HS knowing that they did their best, and performed an exciting and captivating show!!! We are so happy for them! Hard work pays off!

Huge thanks Superintendent Courtney Williamson Hudgins, Assistant Superintendent Doug Grigar, and HS Principal Jay Janczak for supporting our students and helping our program grow!

None of this would be possible with out our Band Boosters, Band parents, and East Bernard family - your love for our students and band is overwhelming! Thank you so much for all that you do for our kids!

Looking forward to a small break. Concert season is coming.

Dear Parents, Guardians, Friends, and Families:

Happy Thanksgiving!

The Band Staff really appreciates all of your continued support. The instruments, flags, the lessons, carpool, reeds, sticks, etc... You do so much for your children, and with all of the school work, your career, and parenthood that it seems underappreciated and overlooked, but I assure you it is not.

As every successful team sport, parents become part of the team, but with a global pandemic we have had limited availability to parent meetings, booster meetings, and general hang outs. Please know that your support is felt and appreciated with the whole band this year more than ever.

These days of Covid are not normal times, and words of appreciation for you as parents have probably not been spoken by all of the teachers - we truly appreciate you!

We appreciate you. For the things we see you do and the things we don't. We appreciate your relentless support, willingness, and continued understanding. In East Bernard, we are blessed to have parents with the willingness to allow, encourage, and insist that music be a part of your child's life.

These Covid days will end soon (as we all hope). I hope to continue our safe way back to a day where we see each other almost every day, and thank you for your support and and believe in your child’s endeavors.

Good evening!

Your Mighty Brahma Marching Band put on an amazing performance tonight!

We earned STRAIGHT DIVISION 1’s from our judges at the Edna Cowboy Marching Invitational.

So happy and proud of our students for their passion and hard work. We are on track to great thing!

Thank you parents and community members, teachers and administration for your relentless support and love. This one was for you!

Huge thanks to our Band Boosters, Mrs. Sánchez (Color Guard Sponsor) and Mr. Rivera for all of your love and diligent work you do for our students!

We will continue to grow as a family and get better one rehearsal at a time.

Hi All,

Your Mighty Brahma Marching Band will be competing in the Edna Invitational Marching Contest on Saturday November 7th at the Cowboy Memorial Stadium at 7:00pm. Our Warm up time is scheduled for 6:05pm.

Band students will report to the band hall at 3pm for a rehearsal, team dinner, and then head out to Edna. If you would like to volunteer please email me – we need all hands-on deck (Volunteers do not need to purchase tickets). Tickets will be sold at the gate for $5 dollars.

On Saturday November 14th we will travel to El Campo for the Region 13 UIL Marching Contest at the Ricebird Stadium. Your Mighty Brahma Marching Band performs at 12:00pm. Warm up time is scheduled for 11:00am.

Band members will report to the band hall at 8:00am for a rehearsal, team breakfast, and then head out to El Campo.

Admission to the contest is $3.00 (plus a service fee) per person. The only way to purchase a ticket will be online at the following link, https://www.ecisd.org/43989_1. Volunteers do not need to purchase tickets.

The purchaser will receive a QR code to save on their mobile device or print to show at the admissions gate.
