Hi Classmates!
Our 40th High School Reunion weekend is almost here!
We have a really good turnout so far but it's not too late to sign up.
Please pass the word to any and all classmates and encourage them to register or just show up. If you haven't prepaid, no worries, we'll catch you at the door.
Here are a couple updates and reminders about the weekend:
Thursday - Backyard Bash 6:30 - 9pm (Vidler's Parking Lot)
To kick-off the weekend, EA's favorite home-grown band Neverben (featuring our own Mike O) is playing the Back Yard Bash behind Vidlers. For those interested, we'll be congregating at the 42N Barrel House to the left of the stage. Look for the '82 signage and bring whatever you want. It'll be a rockin' time!
Friday - American Legion 6-9pm (VFW Post Shelter)
This is the warm-up event for the All-Class Reunion at the Rink. Stop by the Shelter for just a bit or stay the whole evening. We'll have pizza, wings, beer, wine, NA beverages and more. And there's a full bar inside the Post for those of you who would like something else. The Shelter is a great place to catch up with classmates before heading to the main-event at the Rink.
Saturday Afternoon - High School Tour - 2pm
If you'd like to walk the halls of the High School again, this is your chance.
We've arranged for a guided tour at 2pm Saturday afternoon. We'll meet in what you all remember as the back parking lot (now it's the front of the building). While there's been a lot of changes over 40 years, I'm sure it'll bring back many memories and stories to share.
Saturday Night - Healthy Zone Rink Lodge 7-11pm
The Lodge at the Rink is a great place for private parties, and we'll be taking full advantage of that space. If you have any memorabilia you'd like to share please bring it along. We'll have a nostalgia area setup with old pictures, year books, clothing (who still has a Blue Devils jacket?), and other blasts from the past.
Sunday Emery Picnic - 12noon (2277 Emery Road, South Wales 14139)
On Sunday, we'll be gathering at Jeff Ramsey's place adjacent to Emery Park for a family-friendly picnic day.
Bring whatever you want to eat, drink and play with. There'll be grills and games and family fun for all!
