Pickens County has lost a living legend. Former Sheriff C. David Stone passed away on December 15, 2020 at the age of 83. Sheriff Stone was the second longest serving sheriff in the history of the United States with a career spanning 43 years from 1969 to 2012.

Sheriff Stone gave many officers their first opportunity in law enforcement, and many going on to other higher positions in not only law enforcement but the communities they lived in and served.

The legacy he leaves will be felt for years to come. R.I.P. Sheriff you have earned your rest.

It is with sadness we remember Guy A. Jenkins. Guy passed away in Pickens on December 5th. Guy worked a number of years with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office and SLED as an ABC enforcement agent. While never employed at Easley PD, Guy was always there to help. Arrangements under the direction of Mountain View Funerals and Cremations, Pickens, South Carolina.

We are sadden by another brother gone to soon. David Odam passed away from a reported heart attack on Friday, October 9, 2020. David worked at Easley PD and was a great officer and friend. To all that knew him, He will be missed.

It is with sadness we have learned of the passing of W.L. "Dub" Fortner.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Holloway. Barbara was with the city in the police department as a records clerk and with the rec department. She was a nice person and will be missed. We love you Barbara.
