The Outstanding Performance Award is given by the SC Band Directors Association to recognize band programs that consistently earn top scores in all SCBDA events. We are proud of all of our students accomplishments this year!

🎶 BIG NEWS for Gettys Band! 🎶

For the first time in school history, our incredible band students have placed in the TOP 10 in the STATE at Solo & Ensemble Assessment! 🏆👏

This is a HUGE accomplishment that reflects the hard work, dedication, and talent of our students, along with the guidance and commitment of our amazing band directors.

We are beyond proud of each and every student who represented Gettys with excellence. Your passion and perseverance truly paid off!

Congratulations to our Band Student of the Week Garrett!! Garrett earned this honor by going beyond his normal duties as an band student and by being an example of how we expect our students to act in and out of the classroom. Congratulations Garrett and tune in next Friday for our next student of the week.

The past few days have been a blast! The 7th and 6th grade honor band had a phenomenal performance at Dollywood then had a great time in the park! This trip was so much fun!
