We had a great time this weekend celebrating a great year of mentoring with our amazing mentors, their awesome mentees and the wonderful families that came out and enjoyed all the activities for our 2nd Annual Mentor & Me Day!

A HUGE “Thank You” to Fly Dogs Hot Dogs, Mamre Missions , Rolling Greens Mobile Mini Golf, Upstate Laser Tag, Herbert & Friends Mobile Petting Zoo LLC, Concord Baptist Church, 5 Point Church, The Storehouse, Kona Ice of Pickens and North Greenville Co., Pickens County Sheriff's Office (SC), and Easley Fire Department for coming out and being a part of this awesome day!

We can’t wait to do this again next year!

We’re looking forward to our 2nd Annual Mentor & Me Day on April 18th at the Easley Y!

This event serves to provide mentors, mentees and the mentees’ families a chance to connect, enjoy fun games and activities, create memories and strengthen relationships all while celebrating an amazing year of mentoring!

Day of Giving Ryan Smith talks about the importance of our Day of Giving

January is National Mentoring Month! While we’re grateful for our mentors all year, this month we’re shining a spotlight on the incredible impact you make every day. Thank you for showing up, listening, and leading. 🙌

We are excited to announce that Allison Burton has been selected as our new Mentor Coordinator for the Pickens, Dacusville and Liberty schools.

Allison grew up in Six Mile, South Carolina and currently resides in Pickens with her husband, Luke. She has her Bachelor's degree in Christian Ministries from Carolina Bible College and has worked as a part-time Administrative Assistant for her church for the past couple of years.

Allison joined the Y Mentor program as a mentor two years ago and has a passion for building relationships, serving her community, and making a difference in the lives of children.

Most of Allison's free time is spent with her husband and their puppy, Maple. When not making memories with them, you'll most likely find Allison baking, sewing or playing the piano.

This week we welcomed mentors serving in Anderson District One to our Mentoring 201 class to take a deeper dive into building healthy relationships, navigating obstacles and engaging with our school partners to advocate for their mentees.

And at our Association’s Key Staff meeting, we celebrated our ASD1 Mentor Coordinator, Janet Austin’s three year anniversary working with us! We are blessed to have Janet and how hard she works to build relationships with our partner schools and our mentors, while helping our mentors get matched with a mentee and supporting them through their journey!
