What an incredible first day at Gettys Middle School! 💚

Today our halls were filled with smiles, laughter, and excitement as we officially welcomed our Breakers back for a new school year!

From reconnecting with friends to meeting new teachers and settling into classrooms, it was a fantastic start to what we know will be an amazing year. We are so proud of how our students jumped right into learning and represented our school so well.

A huge thank you to our families, staff, and community for helping make the first day such a success. Here's to a year full of growth, learning, and unforgettable memories.

Welcome Back, Breakers! 💚

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming our newest Breakers for our Becoming a Breaker Camp! Our incoming 6th graders picked up their schedules, toured the school, met their teachers, and got a head start on feeling at home. Parents also had the opportunity to meet with our administration and ask questions as we prepare for an amazing school year.

This afternoon, we welcomed our 7th and 8th grade Breakers as they picked up their schedules and connect with their teachers.

We can't wait to welcome all of our Breakers back to campus on August 4th for the first day of school. It's going to be a great year! 💚 🌊

🎉💚🤍🌊 Our GMS Cheerleaders had an incredible week at the SDPC Cheer Camp, and we couldn’t be more proud!

This year marks the inaugural season of our Gettys Middle School Competition Cheer Team in addition to our sideline spirit team, and we are so excited to see what this talented group will accomplish! 💚🤍

A huge congratulations to our cheerleaders for earning the Stay Safe Award—a special recognition presented to the team that demonstrates outstanding safety practices, smart stunting techniques, and strong risk management throughout camp. What an incredible way to represent the Breakers! 🌊

Thank you to the National Cheerleaders Association for investing in our athletes and providing such an outstanding camp experience. We are also incredibly grateful to Coach Maya Nagelberg for her leadership, dedication, and commitment to our cheer program.
