Last week, students in Ms. Harris’ ELA classes showcased an incredible project after spending second semester reading The Diary of Anne Frank: The Graphic Adaptation. To bring their learning to life, students became museum curators and transformed their classrooms into interactive museums!

Each class created a unique museum title and sign, while every student researched, created, and displayed an artifact connected to Anne Frank’s story and experiences. Teachers and students were invited to tour the museums and learn more about history through the creativity, hard work, and thoughtful presentations of our students.

We are so proud of the effort and dedication these students put into this meaningful project!

A huge thank you to one of the Women’s Mission groups from Rock Springs Baptist Church for choosing Gettys Middle School as one of their spring mission projects!

Because of their generosity, we are able to provide snacks for our SC READY incentives to reward students for their hard work and effort during testing season. We are so thankful for community partners who support and encourage our students in such meaningful ways.

🎉 Congratulations to our 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Tracy Brady, and our Support Employee of the Year, Tosha Stone! 🎉

Mrs. Brady, our incredible teacher librarian, and Mrs. Stone, our amazing media clerk, work together daily to make our library a welcoming, engaging, and inspiring place for all students and staff. From helping students discover a love for reading to creating meaningful learning experiences, their impact reaches far beyond the walls of the library.

Their kindness, dedication, creativity, and commitment to our students make Gettys Middle School a better place every single day. We are so thankful for the countless ways they support our school community and help students grow academically and personally.
