Barstool style custom table build I sent out today

Took a piece of oak that had fallen onto this customers house and made coasters from it upon request. By far one of the most unique things I’ve done. Make positives from every situation.

Made a jig for my miter saw to taper the bottom of table legs. I’m pretty happy with the first attempt.

Had to take a brief intermission on current projects for this very special young man. This little man is too young to work a legit 9-5 job, but yet was posting trying to find work. A lot of hunters were giving him crap about “seemingly” wanting a handout to mount his monster buck he killed in SC this past season. MY father in law and brother in law stepped up and took the buck in for him and mounted it at no cost for this young man. I also decided I wanted him to have a nice shoulder mount plaque to mount it on and of course, I’m not charging this young man a thing. If either one of my daughters killed anything like this young man did, I’d move mountains to make sure they got what they wanted so I felt the need to contribute to this awesome story.
More photos to come when his buck gets put on this plaque, but until then.. I’d like to share the plaque I made. This plaque is made of white oak and I added a a black border around it.
I’m not doing this for any recognition, it just struck a heart cord of a young man too young to hold a job but willing to do whatever was needed to get his biggest buck of his life mounted.

Stove top cover aka noodle board.. whatever floats your boat haha. You can purchase one made from pine for $150 or a hardwood for $250. That includes a design. This design is carved and filled with epoxy to create a flat surface just in case you intend on sitting things on top.
I’m currently down with the flu. I know I’ve got a couple of orders to get done but just be patient. Thank you.
