Our Parent-Child, Preschool and and High School are located at our beautiful McComb Campus, just 3 blocks away from our Machris Mariposa Campus. Our students come from all over the Greater Los Angeles Area, including Hollywood, Los Feliz, Silverlake, South Pasadena, Glendale, La Canada, La Crescenta, Monrovia, San Gabriel, Sierra Madre, San Marino, and of course Pasadena and Altadena. What a beautiful day of celebration, learning, and community! ❤️🖤💚

Our Juneteenth celebration brought our community back home to our Altadena campus to honor Black freedom, resilience, culture, and joy.

From double dutch and hair braiding to cake walks, live music, dancing, delicious food, and plenty of laughter, the day was filled with connection, celebration, and unforgettable memories. It was inspiring to see families, friends, and neighbors come together to celebrate the history, traditions, and enduring spirit of Juneteenth.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers, supporters, and community members who made this day possible. Whether you baked, served, organized, led activities, or simply joined us in celebration, your generosity and enthusiasm made all the difference.

Congratulations to the PWS Class of 2026! 🎓 We were filled with joy as our community gathered at our McComb Mendocino Campus in Altadena to celebrate the final milestone of the school year: High School Graduation.

It was a day defined by deep reflection and celebration, featuring beautiful music from our High School Chorus and an inspiring commencement address from High School Art Director Brian Getnick, who challenged our graduates to embrace resilience and celebrate their journey. We also took a moment to honor the extraordinary service of those who have supported our community, including a special tribute to Brandon Jay and the non-profit Altadena Musicians for their tireless work replacing music instruments and equipment for families affected by the fires, including several PWS families and employees.

To our graduates: thank you for the heart, creativity, and spirit you brought to our school. We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish next!

One last hurrah! Our 8th graders are back from their class trip to Ashland, Oregon, and it was the perfect way to wrap up their time in the grades. Whether they were navigating the rapids of the Rogue River, exploring Ashland, or taking in plays (and going behind-the-scenes) at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, it was a meaningful final milestone for our students as they prepare for the transition to high school. We are so proud of the lifelong connections they’ve built and the way they’ve supported each other throughout this entire journey. Next up, Grade 8 Promotion!

As part of their year-long cooking and practical arts curriculum, Ms. Martinelli’s Grade 3 class has turned the classroom into a bustling kitchen, this week making delicious, handmade empanadas! In Waldorf schools around the world, cooking isn’t just about the tasty reward at the end — it’s a deeply immersive, hands-on experience that begins in Early Childhood and continues through High School where students practice math, build culinary and fine motor skills, and connect with global cultural traditions. Summer Camp at Pasadena Waldorf School is open for registration! ☀️

Join us back in Altadena for a joyful and play-filled summer camp experience for Early Childhood and Grades 1–8 students.

Camp activities include art, music, movement, storytelling, nature exploration, water play, handwork, games, and hands-on projects designed for different age groups.

Grades students will explore unique weekly themes like Harmonic Journeys, The Story Stage, and Water & Wonder, while Early Childhood follows a gentle, play-based daily rhythm.

Open to both PWS and outside families. Weekly sessions run June 8–August 7 at our Mendocino Campus in Altadena.
