Alpenglow Elementary

Alpenglow Elementary A public K-5 -neighborhood school in the Anchorage School District. This provides a positive social environment for our students to learn and grow.

Our K-6 elementary school is nestled in the picturesque Eagle River Valley just 12 miles north of Anchorage. During the 2012-2013 school year we served 590 students in 23 classrooms including nearly 60% military. Since opening its doors in 1995, Alpenglow has consistently demonstrated excellent academic outcomes. More than this, however, Alpenglow is a community of families that support and take ownership in their school. We are very fortunate to have a strong staff and PTA that supports student learning while offering activities including a renowned choir, band and orchestra, running club, Battle of the Books, Spelling Bee among others. For our many families that are just moving to the area we say, "welcome to Alpenglow.”

📅 Wednesday, July 29: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. & 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
(Office closed 3:00–5:00 p.m.)
📅 Thursday, July 30: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

New-to-District families (including Kindergarten) should bring:
✔️ Proof of residency
✔️ Birth certificate
✔️ Immunization records
✔️ Emergency contact information
✔️ Previous school information
✔️ Custody documents (if applicable)

Returning ASD families: Please complete your online registration through ParentConnect as soon as possible so we can prepare for another great school year!
