From My Desk…

Over the course of my life I have delivered public speeches thousands of times (I keep track). I have taught many, many classes on a wide variety of topics to including philosophy, theology, prophecy, finances, armed defense, and unarmed defense. Yet, I battle with the factor of presumption every single time I present. I frequently ask myself, “Who am I to instruct others?” That reluctance and hesitancy keep me sharp. Yet, being the extreme introvert that I have always been, I have to overcome my natural inclination to be of benefit to those around me.
It is likely that your natural inclination is something that is getting in the way of the impact that you could be having. That could also relate to a lack of experience and opportunity. Seek out settings that will help you develop your talents. Facilitate the reception of instruction that will move you closer to what you know you should be and could be doing. Don’t let your current limitations be the determinant factor in what you want to do.
Invest in your personal development today and the opportunities of tomorrow will become much clearer. Stay steady in your preparation and training and the opportunities will present themselves. Right now, you have what it takes; develop it. Get serious about it and watch what happens. Dr. M. H. Guy
