PFD is called "The Third Rail of AK Politics" meaning it's highly controversial and can determine elections. It's why Walker was voted out before and why he will fail again in Nov. '26.

Bill Walker is back to FULLY DESTROY the PFD! This is a betrayal of the Permanent Fund for Alaskans' future. Walker is bribing YOU to take a payoff to kill the PFD. Then Govenrment can control, spend and destroy the Fund. STOP THIS RAID!

Not what Alaska needs now...Bill Walker has filed to run for Alaska Governor. 😕He vetoed the PFD in 2016 to pay for government instead of passing a sustainable budget. Walker had the opportunity to make a sustainable fiscal plan 10 years ago as Governor but failed. This candidate is about raiding the Permanent Fund instead of reforms to fix the fiscal problems. Get your friends out to vote in November to stop the raid!

HOW TO SAVE THE PFD? Here's an AI summary on what legal remedies there are to protect the PFD. Be sure to ask candidates in your district if they support a constitutional PFD based on the original formula. This is the only way the PFD will be protected. The constitutional amendment is a high hurdle to pass - it takes a 2/3 majority vote in the Legislature, then a public vote for adoption in the AK Constitution. This can be done if voters get informed, focused and involved to pass PFD protection.

Most Legislators are CLAIM JUMPERS! They are looting the People's PFD money instead of making needed reforms for the State budget. Let's focus on the election to replace politicians who raid the PFD. Alaskans have rights if we claim them as a voter block and pass a constitutional PFD for protection. We can contact candidates who are allies and help them win. Legislators decide final PFD amount this week.

House Version ($1,500): The House initially passed a higher amount of $1,500 per eligible resident.

Below is a statement by the Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation on their page now (in the blue box). In response to dependance primarily on the Fund earnings - This not the responsible way to fund AK government. Especially if earnings go negative.
Depending on the Permanent Fund (including the PFD) for the majority of funding for government is not the way to "stability"!
The Fund needs to GROW (including inflation proofing), government needs a spending AUDIT, include other REVENUES and spending needs ACCOUNTABILITY not a slush fund approach!
