Enroll as a freshman, sophomore, or transfer student for bachelor’s degrees, with master’s and doctoral programs available. Sul Ross State University International sites in Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Uvalde serve transfer students in the southwest Texas area. General requirements for undergraduate admission include:
A minimum of 42 transferable hours; and
2.0 GPA from an accredited college or univer

sity

General requirements for graduate admission:
Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Sul Ross State University began offering extension classes in the middle Rio Grande region in the 1960s. With Southwest Texas Junior College already serving freshman and sophomore college students, the Sul Ross model evolved into an upper-level institution that provides junior and senior level courses leading to bachelor's degrees as well as master's degrees. Sul Ross State University International serves a 26,000-square mile area, educating students from the Rio Grande River in Val Verde County, south to Eagle Pass, west to Cotulla, north to Dilley, Pearsall, Bandera and Kerrville and all points in between―Brackettville, Crystal City, Carrizo Springs, Uvalde, Leakey, and Hondo. We align our degree plans with Southwest Texas Junior College so local students complete their first two years there and transfer seamlessly to RGC. In the early days, students spent time driving to classes between the three campuses in order to complete their degrees. With advances in technology, Sul Ross defined the innovation frontier by quickly moving to state-of-the-art teleconference equipment which connects all three sites, allowing students to attend class on their home campuses and drastically cutting travel time. Many courses are also available online, giving students more flexibility in scheduling their time. From starting bachelor's and master's degree programs in an area that wasn't being served, to using technology to connect students and instructors, Sul Ross State University has defined what it means to be the Frontier University of Texas.
