Calling all 5th grade parents! 🍩 it’s your turn!

5th Grade Parents & Pastries is Friday, October 2nd from 9:30 am - 10:00 am.

For those of you who are new to the school and aren’t familiar with Parents & Pastries, it’s a fun part of our literacy curriculum where parents come to school for about 30 minutes and spend some one-on-one reading time with their child! 🤍

We know that waking up early, getting everyone ready, and running over to the school to read may not sound like the most exciting thing ever… so we bribe you with donuts. 😂🍩🤤

Come read, hang out with your kiddo, and enjoy a delicious treat with us! We promise the donuts are worth it. 😉

Why do you love Battle Of The Books?! 📚

Battle of the Books is a fun, FREE program designed to encourage students to read, discover new books, and get excited about reading! Students in 3rd–6th grade will read books from their grade-level reading list and then team up to battle it out by answering questions about the books they have read.

Along the way, students will build reading comprehension, teamwork, memory, and critical-thinking skills, all while having fun! Teams will compete in March for trophies, medals, and bragging rights, and there will even be a special teacher battle! 🏆

There will also be incentives and prizes along the way to keep students motivated and excited about reading. And for every book a student reads, they will earn a Battle of the Books brag tag to add to their collection! 📚

Students will have coaches to help guide them along the way, and there is no cost to participate!

Register each of your 3rd–6th grade students, the link is in our bio!

(one child per form)

Registration will close Monday, September 14th!
