You will be receiving your child's FitnessGram scores for 3rd-6th grade students this week. Please look for them in your child's backpack. If you are not familiar with FitnessGram it is a comprehensive health related physical fitness assessment that we use to measure aerobic capacity, muscular strength, and flexibility. This program encourages lifelong physical activity by comparing individual scores to criterion-referenced Healthy Fitness Zones (HFZ) rather than comparing students with one another.

k-6 This week will be the 6th grade vs teachers kickball game on Thursday and field day on Friday. It should be a fun week with a lot of the fun activities planned. I am encouraging students to get outside this summer and be active through activities such as hiking, fishing, pickleball, basketball, soccer etc.. Have a great summer!

👟 Field Day Reminder: Free Dress Day!

We are excited for our upcoming Field Day on Friday, May 22! To celebrate, this will be a Free Dress Day for ALL students.

While students get to ditch the uniforms for the day, please ensure their clothing choices remain safe and appropriate for school activities.

🚫 Dress Code Guidelines (What NOT to Wear)
No Swimwear or Pajamas
No Sleeveless Tops
No Leggings Worn as Pants
No Ripped Jeans
No Immodest Clothing: All shorts, skirts, and dresses must follow our regular length requirements (no more than 2" above the knee).
Reminder: Don't forget the sunscreen!

👟 A Note on Shoes
Even though it is a free dress day, school-approved shoes are still required. Please make sure your student wears comfortable, closed-toe athletic shoes so they can safely run and play during all the Field Day fun!

4th–6th Grade: 8:20 AM – 10:00 AM
K–3rd Grade: 10:15 AM – 11:50 AM

Important Notes:
Siblings: For insurance reasons, we prefer no younger siblings.

💊 Important: Medical Item Pick-Up
Parents, please note that all student medical supplies must be picked up from the front office by a parent or guardian before the end of the school year.

Pick-Up Dates:

Wednesday, May 20th

Thursday, May 21st

This includes prescription medications, diabetes supplies, inhalers, and any other medical items currently held at the school. For safety reasons, these items cannot be sent home with students and must be signed out by an adult.

The Directing Staff is thrilled to announce that our production for next year will be How To Train Your Dragon!

This is a brand-new musical, and since the songs might be new to many of our students, the directors want to give everyone a head start. We are encouraging all interested students to start listening to the music now to get familiar with the Viking world and the soaring melodies!

Important Lunch Updates!
It was recently discovered that May 6th was missing from our school lunch options. Food orders have been submitted for this week. If you did not order, your student will need a home lunch on Wednesday.

ALSO!

Our lunch manager will be attending a graduation on Wednesday, May 20th. As a result, all school lunches served that day will be sack lunches.

Please note:

Final Lunch Day: This will be the last day school lunch is served for the year.

Refunds: If you do not want your student to receive a sack lunch on this day, please email [email protected] to request a refund.
