Forest School for Adults for the Spring session is now open for registration! Come get wild, play in the forest and reintegrate all the many parts of yourself in relationship with the Earth.

Our intention for this series is to cultivate a reciprocal relationship with the Earth in order to gain both an authentic understanding of the Earth and ourselves. We will read, write, reflect and explore 20 acres of white oak habitat, get to know the animal kinfolk and reweave stories of who we are in relation to each other and the earth.

Menopause is a time in a womyn’s life that has gone silent for too long. Many of us are seeking out understanding, relevance and community around this transition into Cronehood. Our first session will explore what we can expect on this journey, what this journey entails and seek a pathway of acceptance into this rite of passage. We will connect our bodies with the Earth and the natural world around us to bring ourselves into greater connection with our own innate beauty. We will celebrate the Crone and discover who she is within us as we create a living altar with native plants.

What to expect: Be welcomed onto your own unique menopause path. We will utilize skills of ecstatic pagan witchcraft to connect to the rhythm of the Earth as our sacred teacher (Crone of all Crones!) with Juniper Birch; Christian Cameli will facilitate discussion and a bit of a classic s*xual reproduction education (SRE) to help us understand what is happening with our bodies, minds and spirits on this journey (think of classic high school s*x education with all that nervousness and fear but room for laughter and understanding!); and Weina Dinata of My Poppy and Finch (https://www.poppyandfinch.com/) will lead us in creating our own native plant living altar to welcome us either into this journey, or celebrate where we are on this journey.

Juniper Birch is a practicing witch with certification from the Golden Web Mystery school, founder of Wild Cascara Naturalist school, and an outdoor educator for those of all ages.
Christina Cameli is a certified nurse-midwife and menopause practitioner in Portland, Oregon.
Weina Dinata is a native plant advocate and artist empowering people to connect with nature in a deeper and meaningful way through her educational hands-on workshops and creative botanical solutions.

Forest School for adults is for folks 25+ to return back to the principles of the Earth in order to return to their own inner worth. You do not have to tend to children to take this class either! How can rebuilding a relationship to the Earth support you in your inner and outer work as a human?

We will use lenses of creative imagination, Coyote Mentoring, nature journaling, homesteading and good basic forms of play to reestablish our connection to ourselves in relation to the natural world. Come explore on 20 acres of forested land and make time to slow down, for yourself and for the Earth.

This is a three class series and each class builds on the previous one. We will meet over a period of three months in order to respect our personal time, integrate the learning and build a solid container for community. We here at Wild Cascara feel it is important to shift from a "one and done" workshop to a slower model of learning. We also believe in creating authentic containers for folks of all backgrounds to be seen, heard, valued and cared for. We do not tolerate dualistic thinking, but rather seek to support creative questioning and curiosity.

Come receive the nourishment of deeply cultivated sound practices in quadrophonic format immersed among the native white oak trees at Wild Cascara Naturalist School in Eagle Creek. This modality generates a multidimensional ebb and flow of sonic phenomena by enveloping you in an audio and natural landscape and allowing you to disappear into an ocean of vibration. This sanctuary of sound will be crafted through a variety of acoustic instruments, field recordings, analog synthesizers, binaural sources, and live crystal singing bowls, all woven together to support you in rejuvenation and self-discovery.

Take it a layer further with the option of receiving acupuncture and gentle bodywork to support the body and nervous system in deeper listening and integration on a core level.

Hey there families! Summer is just around the corner and Wild Cascara is still open for summer camp registration. Come get your spot before it's too late!
We have some great guest teachers coming in to teach paper making, native plant living alters and carving skills.

We are also taking registration for the school year! Can you imagine your child getting to dive into an authentic form of education that is based on the land and provides them with life long skills? We follow both the Forest School and Naturalist school model of education which provides applicable homesteading skills.
