Today we celebrate and extend our sincere appreciation to Richard Walters for his dedicated service and many contributions he has made throughout his career at our school.

Richard is truly a genuine person whose character reflected the way he treated not only students, but staff and community members too. Richard consistently demonstrated kindness, humility, sincerity and respect.

As Richard begins his well deserved new chapter in his life, we say, WOPILA TANKA, for his unwavering dedication. We wish him happiness and fulfillment in his retirement.

Hihanni wasté,

The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School North campuses phone system recently experienced a system failure that caused the entire system to reset. This resulted in phone calls to be routed incorrectly or preventing them from reaching the intended offices.

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Telephone Authority maintenance personnel have been onsite and are actively working to restore the phone system.

We appreciate your understanding and patience while we work to resolve this issue.

Jr High Volleyball and Jr High Football practices will start on Wednesday August 19.
JH Volleyball - 3:45 in the High School Gymnasium (Coach Raina Slade)
JH Football - 3:45 on the High School Football Field (Coaches Tracy Lawrence & Jade Farlee)
- Student-athletes will need a SDHSAA Physical prior to starting practice.

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Oyate!

What a great first day of school!

We are proud of the positive energy, enthusiasm and excitement our students and staff brought to the start of the new school year. Today was filled with learning, new experiences and opportunities to build strong connections.

At the North Campus, we made our youngest learners’ very first day in a school setting extra special with a visit from Spider-Man and a Bronc Rider! Their smiles and excitement helped create a welcoming, memorable start to their school journey.

It can’t go without mentioning a sharp dressed high schooler who knows how to make an entrance! We loved the suit and tie.

Thank you to our students, families, teachers and staff for helping make the first day such a success. We are excited for all the learning, growth and wonderful memories ahead!
