Red Pine Elementary PTO Welcome to the page for Red Pine Elementary PTO! PTO stands for Parent Teacher Organization. The Secretary and Treasurer serve two years each.

All parents and teachers at Red Pine Elementary School are members of the Red Pine PTO. The PTO Board is made up of four individual members who serve as President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. The Vice-President serves one year, followed by a year of serving as President.

Well, Red Pine, things are getting interesting.

We're in the final days of our Fall Fundraiser, and as of Thursday morning, you've helped raise $25,517 toward our $35,000 goal! That's 72% of the way there, thanks to a whole lot of generosity from our school community.

Meanwhile, Fourth Grade has apparently decided it would really like a pizza party.

They're sitting at $5,657 just $343 shy of their $6,000 grade-level goal!

But there's still time for the other grades to make their move. The competition runs through Saturday, October 10, and the grade that reaches the highest percentage of its goal earns a pizza party the following week.

And there's something in it for the whole school, too. If we reach $35,000, our Cardinals earn a Glow Dance in November!

Whether you've already donated, shared the fundraiser with family and friends, or are just getting around to it now, thank you. Every bit of support helps make the school year a little more memorable for our kids.

Red Pine, we made it to the final week.

And first things first: congratulations to 1st Grade, winners of last week’s Participation Challenge! They had the highest percentage of families with at least one donation and earned extra recess plus a special treat.

Now the scoreboard resets one last time.

Red Pine is entering the final week of the Fall Fundraiser with $21,222 raised, more than 60% of our $35,000 goal.

And somehow, Week 2 did not bring the usual fundraising slowdown. You just kept going.

For our final grade challenge, each grade is working toward the same $6,000 goal. The grade that finishes the week with the highest percentage of its goal reached wins a Pizza Party.

As of Sunday evening:

🥇 4th Grade — 75.8%
🥈 Kindergarten — 67.6%
🥉 1st Grade — 56.2%
2nd Grade — 54.5%
3rd Grade — 49.5%
5th Grade — 43.7%

Fourth grade has the lead. Kindergarten is very much within striking distance. And there’s enough week left for this whole thing to get interesting.

It also happens to be Spirit Week, so there will be plenty of Red Pine energy in the building while we head toward the finish line.

We interrupt Spirit Week and our regularly scheduled fundraising updates for a very important announcement.

Trunk or Treat is NINE DAYS AWAY.

On Wednesday, October 14, from 5:30–6:30 PM, the Red Pine parking lot will once again fill with costumes, decorated trunks, and an impressive amount of candy.

We're looking forward to seeing our Cardinals out in full Halloween glory.

And if you'd like to help make the evening happen, there's still an opportunity to get involved.

Decorate a trunk, donate some individually wrapped candy, lend a hand with setup, or help us put everything away afterward.

No professional decorating experience required. No need to transform your vehicle into a haunted mansion. Although we certainly won't discourage you.

Candy donations can be dropped off at the school office.

Red Pine, it's time to show a little school spirit!

Here's what's on the calendar:

- Monday: Cozy Day — pajamas or comfy clothes
- Tuesday: Accessory Day — show off a favorite hat or fun accessory
- Wednesday: Cardinal Pride Day — wear your Red Pine colors!
- Thursday: Mix It Up Day — mismatched clothes, silly socks, or whatever combination makes you smile
- Friday: Glow Day — bright colors, neon, and all things glow-inspired

No elaborate costumes required. No shopping trips necessary. Just a little creativity and a chance for our Cardinals to have some fun together.

And to every family who has helped support this year's fundraiser, thank you. We're heading into the home stretch with a whole lot to celebrate.

Who knew a little Play-Doh could do so much math?

In Ms. Reed's fourth-grade classroom, multiplication isn't just something students memorize. It's something they can build, see, and explore.

Thanks to PTO funding, Ms. Reed has been able to purchase playing cards, flash cards, and Play-Doh to help students practice multiplication in different ways.

It's part of the $350 classroom allocation provided to each Red Pine classroom teacher this year.

Sometimes the difference your donations make looks like a big school event.

And sometimes it looks like a fourth grader discovering that multiplication makes a little more sense when you can build it with your hands.

Well, Red Pine. Look what you've done.

As of Friday afternoon, our school community had raised $20,297, more than halfway to our $35,000 Fall Fundraiser goal!

And the grade-level competition has been keeping things interesting.

Fourth grade had the lead in our Week 2 Participation Challenge, with first grade close behind. Apparently, a little extra recess and a special treat can bring out the competitive spirit in just about anybody.

More importantly, every donation represents a family, friend, or neighbor choosing to support the kids and teachers at Red Pine.

Thank you for getting us this far.

We'll share the final Week 2 results when they're announced. In the meantime, there's still time to participate, and every amount is welcome.

We’re on Day 8 of the Fall Fundraiser, and you’ve already raised $10,450, 29% of our $35,000 goal.

And here’s the part that has us especially excited:

That’s with only about 150 students participating so far.
Imagine what happens if the rest of Red Pine joins them.

First, a little applause for 3rd Grade, winners of last week’s Registration Challenge! They earned extra recess and a special treat...and, presumably, some perfectly reasonable bragging rights.
Now the scoreboard resets.

This week’s challenge: PARTICIPATION.
The grade with the highest percentage of students with at least one donation of any amount wins the next round of extra recess and treats.
And we really do mean any amount. For the competition, a $5 donation counts exactly the same as $50. The goal is to get as many Red Pine families participating as we can.

So, Cardinals: tell your grown-ups.
Grown-ups: tell your Cardinals.
And grandparents, relatives, friends and neighbors are welcome to get in on this too.

We’re 29% of the way there.
Let’s see what happens when the whole school knows about it.

Sometimes you can actually hear where your PTO dollars go.

Those new djembes in Ms. Roberts’ music room? Funded by Red Pine PTO.

They’re professional-quality instruments built to serve Red Pine students for years to come, and a pretty great example of what happens when a school community pitches in together.

Next time your child has music, tell them to give one a good thump for you.

This is what your generosity looks like.

This year, Red Pine PTO provided $8,400 directly to our K–5 teachers...for classroom supplies, enrichment and a little more of the good stuff that makes their classrooms their own.

And judging by Ms. Higgins’ shopping spree before 6:00 AM the next morning, she was ready.

84 Cardinals are in. And 3rd grade has an early lead.

We’re only a few days into the Red Pine Fall Fundraiser, and things are already getting interesting.

So far, 84 students have registered, and here’s how the Week 1 Registration Race stands:

🥇 3rd Grade — 22
🥈 2nd Grade — 19
🥉 1st Grade — 14
4th Grade — 12
5th Grade — 10
Kindergarten — 6

And while the kids are busy watching the standings, Red Pine families have already raised $4,650...more than 13% of our $35,000 goal. That’s a pretty remarkable start.

Here’s the important part for this week’s competition: you don’t have to make a donation for your child to count toward the Registration Race. Simply register, select your child’s grade, and they’re on the board.

If you’re able and would like to give, donations of any amount are appreciated. There is no required donation.
