CAC Educational Scholarship Foundation Promoting financial literacy to graduating California high school seniors by providing scholarships and education opportunities.

The California Association of Collectors Educational Scholarship Foundation was founded in 2006 and awards $6,000 in three scholarships each year. High school seniors submit essays of 700-1,000 words addressing "The Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Financial Credit During Your College Years." The essays are read and ranked in a double-elimination style process by a team of approxima

tely 20 volunteer readers. The three finalists travel to Sacramento (with a parent) where they tour the Capitol then read their essay at the presentation banquet. Five judges (legislators, financial industry representatives) rank the presentations and the winners are announced and scholarships presented that evening.
