Happiness is a choice. Good financial planning, like flight planning, is a practiced skill. Student pilots to Commercial should find this podcast valuable.

The financial pathway of a major airline pilot is remarkably similar to that of a doctor. A lot of people don't realize they make doctor-like incomes and actually have a lot of doctor-like financial challenges. You make little to no income for a decade, then pretty good income for as long as you can...

Cadet Samuel Buckmaster and Cadet Bishop Miller both soloed today a the CAP National Flight Academy in Fremont NE. This was a very intensive two weeks of training, covering ground and flight training toward their private pilot certificate. Each of these cadets, like the others at the encampment, worked very hard this week and took a major step toward earning their pilot wings! I am proud to have the priviledge of being their initial flight instructor.

Trying out the new camera and hving some fun on a cold winter Sunday. Paul is showing me how smooth he can be on the controls in a power on stall. Very little drop off at the end. Very little wing and nose bobble. Watch the airspeed numbers.

Power on stall from cruise flight. Video starts at the end of a figure 8 and transitions to the stall. Very smooth, cold, winter air. Pitch up high ... climb until airspeed declines... nose drops. Keep pressure on the right rudder...level the wings... and resume flying like nothing happened. Pa...
