Today we recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day and honor the histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples and communities. 💛

Across Latin America and other parts of the Spanish-speaking world, Indigenous cultures and languages continue to shape communities, traditions, and everyday life. As our students learn Spanish and explore the cultures connected to the language, we also have an opportunity to celebrate the many people and histories that make those cultures so rich.

In addition to full-time care, our center offers part-time enrollment options starting at 2 days a week. Your child can experience Spanish immersion, play-based learning, and a classroom community they'll love, on a schedule that fits your family.

Children don’t need to translate every word to understand a new language. 💬🌎

Through immersion, children begin connecting Spanish directly to what’s happening around them. A teacher points to an object, demonstrates an action, repeats familiar words, and uses everyday routines to build understanding.

Over time, children comprehend Spanish for what it means, not just as a translation of English. That’s an important step toward more natural, confident communication. 🌟

Bring your little ones to Tierra Encantada on Friday 10/9 for an afternoon full of fun, learning, and culture. Enjoy activities inspired by countries across the Spanish-speaking world!

Whether you're already enrolled at Tierra Encantada, interested in learning more, or just looking for an afternoon of fun for you and your little one - we'd love for you to join us!

Meet our Assistant Director, Ana!

Originally from El Salvador, Ana brings a passion for children, communication, and creating a positive environment to our team. Her favorite part of working at Tierra is watching all the fun projects and activities the teachers create and how excited the students are to learn. She loves that children are not only fun and full of energy, but also incredibly smart and always learning something new. 💛

Outside of work, Ana enjoys watching movies, traveling, and most of all, spending quality time with her son. She loves exploring new places and making special memories with her family. ✈️❤️

Happy International Day of Sign Language! 🤟💛

Meet our Director, Marissa! 🍎✨

With 10 years of childcare experience under her belt—spending 7 wonderful years in the classroom and the last 3 in management—Marissa brings so much heart and expertise to our team. Her favorite part of the job? Getting to know the unique personality of every single student and building strong, lasting connections with our local families.

As a lifelong Spanish speaker, Marissa loves using her bilingual skills every day to connect with our kids and community.

Yesterday our little learners were been busy celebrating two super special occasions! First, they kicked off Mexico’s Independence Day with vibrant, hands-on projects, exploring the rich colors, music, and traditions of Mexico. 🎨🖍️

Then, to mark the start of Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15 – Oct 15), the children created amazing crafts highlighting the diversity and beauty of the Spanish-speaking world! 🌎❤️

We love seeing our students connect with Latin American culture through art, play, and language every single day.
