Before our high school students and faculty departed campus for Fall Break, they participated in Mission 1:8 Day, an annual service event where BCS gives back at partnering philanthropic organizations in our region.

Our Saints offered their time and talents to serve at more than 25 sites across our community. Whether it was packing meal boxes, painting Christmas ornaments, caring for the grounds of the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, or helping brighten days and spaces everywhere in between, they displayed the Briarcrest Core Value of Compassion to friends across the Mid-South.

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)

Our Second Grade Saints have been hard at work on a STEM project researching animals and their habitats! Earlier this week, they presented those findings to their parents incorporating writing and physical habitat models they created. Our students let their creativity shine while demonstrating a deep knowledge base about our wonderfully designed planet. 🌎

Our Fifth Grade Saints spent the morning at Junior Achievement BizTown!

These students have been hard at work over the past few weeks learning about how different career paths shape our society. They set their sights on a variety of professional functions and then studied, prepared, and interviewed for their assigned roles at today's event.

They put their learning into action as they explored the worlds of retail, banking and finance, medical technology, entertainment, logistics, and entrepreneurship.

From the Mayor's office running town operations at City Hall to CFOs completing applications for small business loans, these students had fun while engaging in strategic discussions to help their businesses thrive.

We are grateful for the support of our friends at JA, our parent volunteers, and of course our awesome BCS faculty!

Join Us At Our Next Proverbs 22:6 Parent Equipping Class – This Thursday Morning!

📍 Where: PAC Media Room
🗓 When: This Thursday, October 8, at 8:15 am
🎤 Hosted by: Jason Ellis, BCS Director of Student Ministries
