From Marseille to Japan - the Baron brotherhood knows no borders.

Eliott Nahon '25 (pictured center) was traveling in Japan this summer when he linked up with fellow Barons Yukihiro Kawaguchi '24 (pictured right) and Yodai Yamaji '25 (pictured left) - brought together by their shared home on the Ridge, no matter where in the world they roam.

This is what it means to be a Baron for life!

Have you had a chance encounter with a fellow Baron out in the world? Send us your story and photos - we would love to share them.

Virginia is paying attention to something we have always known.

A newly formed Virginia Boys and Men Advisory Commission held its first meeting last week, bringing together lawmakers, researchers, and education leaders to examine why boys are falling behind in education, college enrollment, and workforce participation. Researchers noted that more than half of boys are not considered ready for kindergarten, that reading gaps are widening, and that boys are 1.5 times more likely to drop out of school than girls.

At Blue Ridge School, boys are not an afterthought - they are the entire focus. Our all-boys environment is intentionally designed to meet boys where they are, challenge them in ways that work for them, and surround them with male role models who are invested in their growth.

This is not a new idea for us. It is the reason we exist.

There’s nothing better than welcoming Barons back home!

It was great to have Eric Strasser ’08 back on campus today. Eric was one of the first people Anderson Moss ‘11 met as an incoming freshman at Blue Ridge School, making today’s visit even more meaningful. Accompanied by his dog, Eric spent time exploring the campus and reconnecting with a place that will always feel like home.

The door is always open for Alumni to return for a visit!

Baron summers are built different.

Ivan Angulo Castaño '27 (second from right in blue shorts) spent nearly two weeks this summer at the Ken Chertow Super Gold Medal Wrestling Training Camp in Pennsylvania - one of the most prestigious and demanding wrestling camps in the country. Six hours of training a day for 13 days straight.

Coach Cameron and the Baron wrestling program better be ready - Ivan is bringing everything he learned to the mat this season.

Checking in from Japan with a summer update from Tokinari Isobe '27 - and it is a good one.

Toki has been busy since heading home - earning his boat license and logging miles on two wheels every single day. This summer he competed in a Shimano bike race and came home with a win. No surprise there.

He sends his love to the Blue Ridge community, says he cannot wait to get back to the Ridge, and - in true Toki fashion - leaves us with some important advice: enjoy your last month of summer and watch out for heatstroke.

We miss you too, Toki!

Blue Ridge School recently welcomed Wen Lee and the team from APEX International Education Partners to campus for their first-ever visit.

APEX has been dedicated since 2011 to connecting exceptional international students with top American independent schools - matching students from China and Vietnam with schools and host families where they can thrive academically, socially, and personally. Director of Admissions Angela Jackson Mapetla had the pleasure of hosting Wen and the APEX team as part of their two-week U.S. independent school tour.

We are grateful for the visit and excited about what this partnership can become. At Blue Ridge, every boy is seen, known, and supported as he grows into a man of character - and we look forward to working with APEX to bring more of the right young men to the Ridge.
