Dyersburg State Community College (DSCC) held its annual Foundation board meeting and dinner on November 7 at the Student Center on the Dyersburg campus. DSCC faculty, staff, board members, and their guests were in attendance for the special event.
Dinner was followed by an update on the college by President Cook. President Cook and Dr. Kevin Cook, Vice Chair of the DSCC Foundation Board, presented a certificate of recognition to the outgoing board members, Mr. Charles Brasfield and Mr. Danny Watson, and the outgoing board chair, Mr. Jeff Agee.
Cris Perkins, Associate Vice Chancellor for the Tennessee Board of Regents System, presented the philanthropy awards for the evening. The Excellence in Philanthropy Regents Award was presented to the Sells and Quertermous Families (McDonald’s Corporation). The Sells and Quertermous families have donated $553,172.70 to Dyersburg State Community College. Frazier Roofing and Sheet Metal Co., Inc. received the Chancellor’s Award for Philanthropy. Barry Frazier and his wife, Julie, have donated $120,694.50. In addition, a brief business meeting followed the awards presentations.
