Our recent Early Release Day was so much fun!

At Alden it was “Awesome Autumn.” We built four full-sized scarecrows for the courtyard, including a New England Patriots themed one, baked some miniature apple cider donuts, and created Fall and football themed artwork with Perler melty beads.

At Chandler it was “All Hands on Deck” with a pirate themed swashbuckling adventure. The students painted their own treasure chests, went on a search for bags of gold coins, crafted colorful feathered parrot friends, and created pirate ships out of recyclables.

Registration for our October Early Release events will open at the end of this week.

Last week our Extended Day students at Alden and Chandler created almost 90 cards and pieces of artwork for local Veterans, thanking them for their service.
The Alden cards were given to Three Harts Farm in Plymouth by Ms. D, and Mrs. Happel brought the Chandler cards up to the VA Hospital in West Roxbury. Some of our students also took cards home for the veterans in their families.
