🐾💚💛 Celebrating our Bulldogs of the Month! 🐶⭐

We loved having our Bulldog families join us for a special luncheon to recognize these amazing students! We are so proud of the leadership, positive choices, and commitment to BARK Expectations that these students demonstrate each day.

At Burke, we believe it takes a team to help our little Bulldogs grow and succeed, and we are so grateful for the families who partner with us and show up to celebrate their children’s accomplishments. Thank you for being part of our Bulldog family! Together, we are building something special! 💚💛

🏆 Happy National Coach’s Day to our incredible PE teams! 🏆

Today we’re celebrating Coach Mouton, Coach Justice, Coach Nikki, and Coach Courtney! 💚💛

These four do so much more than teach skills in the gym. They support our Bulldogs in ways that reach far beyond PE. They provide consistency, coach with love, and teach our students the importance of teamwork, integrity, perseverance, and being someone others can count on.

They are truly our go-to team- always willing to jump in, lend a helping hand, encourage a student, or support a teammate. We are so grateful for the positive impact they make on our campus every single day!

Thank you for showing our Bulldogs what it means to play hard, work together, lead with integrity, and be a great teammate. 🐾💚💛

We are so lucky to have YOU on our team! Happy National Coach’s Day! 🏆🐾

Happy Instructional Coach’s Day! 🐾💚💛

Today we’re celebrating Mrs. Hadley and Mrs. Blay, two instructional leaders who bring unique strengths, perspectives, and so much heart to our Bulldog family!

💚 Mrs. Hadley leads with patience and kindness in everything she does. After 20+ years as a Bulldog, her heart, character, and steady presence continue to keep us grounded. She is always ready with a silver lining, a smile, or a hug- and is a trusted support for teachers and students alike. She is a listening ear, a confidant, and someone we know we can always count on.

💛 Mrs. Blay leads with curiosity, consistency, and intentional structures. While she may be a newer member of the Bulldog family, the wealth of knowledge and fresh perspective she brings have already made such an impact. She is always ready to coach and support teachers in planning and instruction while building meaningful relationships with our students.

We are so thankful for the patience, perspective, knowledge, and heart these two bring to our campus each day. Thank you, Mrs. Hadley and Mrs. Blay, for helping our teachers grow and our Bulldogs thrive! 🐾📚✨

We are lucky to have you both! 💚💛

🇪🇸 Mrs. Alleman took on the challenge! 🇪🇸

During ACLA-Latin Music Festival, Mrs. Alleman was challenged to say at least 10 words in Spanish… and she was determined to rise to the occasion! 😂

She may need to sit in on a few more Spanish lessons with our Bulldogs, but luckily, she said just enough to WIN the challenge! 🏆🙌

Thank you to ACLA-Latin Music Festival for allowing us to showcase the Lafayette World Language & Immersion Program during the Latin Music Featival this year. Our students had the opportunity to perform a song on stage with our very own Ms. Yaisel, Azuquita La Cubana, and with Live Oak Elementary School! In Lafayette Parish School System we are all about community and shared success!

🌊🛠️ Engineering in action! 🛠️🌊

Ms. Barrera’s class put their engineering skills to the test as they explored the Engineering Design Process!

After learning about weather hazards and the effects of hurricanes, our third grade Bulldogs were challenged to design and build their own seawall prototypes using classroom materials. Their mission? Create a structure that could help protect a city from flooding! 🌧️🏗️

From designing to building, testing, and improving, our Bulldogs discovered how engineers use creativity and problem-solving to tackle real-world challenges.

They had WAY too much fun with this project—and we loved watching their ideas come to life! 💚💛🐾
