In the last CFR Conversation, Alma Ramirez shared experiences she has had with, and stories she has heard from, numerous migrants at the US/Mexico border. Serving them in Casa del Migrante has transformed her life. Throughout the years, Casa del Migrante has become a temporary shelter for thousands in their journey across the border in both directions.
The Certificate in Conflict Transformation (CCTR) Program has launched its third cohort with a record number of participants. The inaugural event was filled with laughter and great moments. To learn more, click the first link in our Bio.
Today' CFR Conversation delved into the intricate post-2019 Hongkong public theologies. Dr. Wai Luen Kwok presented his fascinating paper on Christian engagement with the society. Building his theology from the works of Dr. Stanley Hauerwas, Dr. Kwok constructed a theology that promote postive peace for the people by weaving art, narrative counseling, and Christian virtues. He tactfully reject any Constantinian impulses and sloppy postcolonial approaches that misuse Dr. Hauwerwas's works.
After the splendid presentation, Dr. Nina and Dr. Hauerwas responded to him. Constructive panelist interactions and eritdite questions from the students followed it.
Recording of the session is avaible, please DM us to access the video.
