Originally named the Duke Parapsychology Labs, its main purpose was researching and explaining parapsychology using mainstream science. In 1995 it was renamed the Rhine Research Center and today continues its tradition of excellence in psi research and the exploration of human consciousness. In addition to research, the Rhine Research Center houses a large research library including the Journal of Parapsychology dating back to 1937. Those interested in learning more about parapsychology are encouraged to attend, in person or online, the Friday Night Talks series, various workshops, and special events. Finally, monthly meetings for the public round out the Rhine experience: The Rhine Book Club, Dream Study Group, Psychic Experiences Group, and Remote Viewing Group.
