Today, the SSUNAA Raleigh/Durham Chapter gathered to do the important business of the Association and continue building momentum for our local alumni community. We discussed chapter priorities, upcoming initiatives, membership engagement, and ways we can continue supporting Savannah State University and our students. It’s always a great day when Tigers come together in service, fellowship, and love for our alma mater. Go Tigers! 🧡💙🐅

Because of your generosity, we surpassed our fundraising goal and raised funds to support scholarships at Savannah State University. Every ticket purchased and every donation made helps us continue investing in our beloved alma mater and future Tigers.

Last weekend, members of the SSUNAA Raleigh-Durham Chapter had the pleasure of returning home to attend the SSUNAA Southern Regional Conference and the Savannah State University Annual Scholarship Gala.

We were also honored to be present as the university celebrated the investiture of Savannah State University’s 15th President, Dr. Jermaine Whirl. It was a beautiful reminder of the legacy, pride, and promise of our beloved SSU.

There is truly nothing like being surrounded by fellow Tigers, celebrating our institution, supporting student scholarships, and reconnecting with the place that helped shape so many of us.

It always feels good to be home. 🐅🧡💙🧡

Small but mighty! Today’s meeting was a great reminder that it’s not about numbers, it’s about commitment. We showed up, stayed engaged, and continued the work of representing and supporting our alma mater with true Tiger pride. 🧡💙

The Savannah State University National Alumni Raleigh/Durham Chapter had a great time at the Bull City in Black HBCU Showcase on Saturday, Feb. 7th! Shout out to our chapter president DeMontrez Johnson and SSU alum Dariel Dixon for representing SSU and sharing Tiger pride while fellowshipping with HBCU alumni in the area.

The Savannah State University National Alumni Association – Raleigh Durham Chapter hosted our annual holiday celebration on Sunday, December 14th at Melanated Wine and Spirits and it was truly a great time. From the delicious food provided by JMS Catering LLC to the warm fellowship, karaoke and laughter, the afternoon was a perfect reminder of the strength and joy of the SSU alumni community.

Grateful for the opportunity to reconnect, celebrate the season, and toast to another impactful year. 💙🧡🐅
